East-West Healing Arts: Services: Sacred Spaces Bodywork
zero balancing

Sacred Spaces Bodywork is a very gentle manual therapy that has evolved from the more mainstream techniques of craniosacral therapy, which originated as an osteopathic treatment protocol.

Sacred Spaces Bodywork is a method of craniosacral work that uses the gentle touch of Profound Neutral to palpate the tissues of the body and encourage the flow of the critical fluids through restricted areas.

These critical fluids include the cerebral spinal fluid that surrounds and nourishes the brain and spinal cord. Other critical fluids include those of the vascular, visceral, nervous, lymphatic, musculoskeletal systems.

The flow of these fluids allows the tissues to release old restrictions from disease, various conditions, and developmental delay or from surgery or a mental or physical trauma.

Restrictions in the organs, muscles and bones can be a core cause of chronic pain symptoms such as headaches, neck and backaches, arm or leg pains that have not responded to medications or other therapies.

When restrictions release from the body, pain levels decrease and mobility improves. The body remembers a deeper level of function and flow, and ease is restored for many activities.

Sacred Spaces Bodywork gently encourages the body to remember its original flow of healthy mobility and function.

It engages the healing forces already at work within ones tissues rather
than the obstacles that may be obstructing its flow.

Sacred Spaces Bodywork follows light touch & basic handholds from the
foot to head as the practitioner supports the edges of the tissues and
“holds space” for reorganization and the body’s own self-healing
mechanisms to work more efficiently.
